Theo,
Anything we say to you will probably seem trite to you in your present state of mind, but try to relax, don't judge - just listen. If you look deeply at your perception of things, I think you might find that you, at a certain level, enjoy being miserable. It sets you apart from others, makes you special. You are looking for others to make you happy, and when they fail you, you revel in the fact that you are so unhappy that nothing can improve your lot. The key to your happiness is not in others and how they treat you, but it lies within yourself. All of us have different stories, and I'm sure there are many on this board who have had horrible things happen to them. But you need a center core to yourself to draw on in those times. It is there within you - you need to settle down and find it and music could be the path there. In the meantime, really look at the people around you - not from your perspective, but from theirs - and you will find that you are not alone.
