| While rehearsals may still echo the resonance of Mozart’s 40th or Beethoven’s 7th, they’re most often distinguished by chords from “Eleanor Rigby,” the sounds of U2, or music by Metallica. More than just the stereotypical cello choir, Low Strung lives up to its name with a laid-back groove that exercises the diverse range of the comparatively “low strung” cello. The energized and charismatic group continues to diversify its repertoire, adapting well-known pop and rock tunes to the voices of twelve cellos. |
