Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is a must see movie with a compelling Chinese music sound track by Tan Dun, much of which features Yo-Yo Ma playing ravishingly romantic/sorrowful/gorgeous love themes. I saw the movie last night, and must say that it ranks with my all time favorites, and I plan to buy the video. The photography is enough to make me want to move to China. Prospective viewers should note that the dialogues are entirely in Mandarin Chinese, but there are English subtitles that are easy to follow. The acting is superb. The story is interesting (basically the story of two couples, one older, one younger, and their romances). The "Kung Fu" fight scenes are startling. The romantic relationships are deep and satisfying, particularly with the older couple. The foolishness factor is very low. Sony has a great website for it HERE. This is a superior movie with great music -- go see it RIGHT NOW!! Amazon.Com has the cd, and features some audio selections at their website.
