How do
I tune during a run through?
Last night during a dress rehearsal,
during the frantic finale which goes on for pages and pages, my C
peg loosened a little, without my knowledge I might add, until it
became apparant, and I went way flat. What do I do in the future
when this happens again, crank the peg and cross my fingers? Of
course in this Sondheim musical, I am playing booming waltz 9/8
whole notes on the C string, so I was in trouble. Any suggestions? I
ended up playing F where G is, but the low Cs were woefully out of
tune. I had no time to stop
