CelloChat needs a motto
CelloChat needs a motto, a good
Latin motto. I shall take it upon myself to find a list of
'em.
Does anybody know the Latin for Cello - I'm not sure
whether they existed back then, and cellum means something quite
cello related.

You're right... How about changing
around some of the standards? I think, therefore I am: I cello,
therefore I am. A true friend is another me: a true cello is another
me, or Art for art's sake: cello for cello's sake. They all sound
better in latin, but till you find out somthing latin for the idea
of a cello, we're stuck.. CELLA GRATIA CELLAS???

I always ask my new cello students
at the University why they chose to play the cello. The answers are
almost always along the lines of, "Because I liked it." Just
yesterday, I inquired of a new student, "Why the cello?" and she
parried with, "Why not?" I liked that. That could be our motto.

(no exclamation point) (just a statement)

I'd vote for Justin's proposal, or,
in the alternative, "It takes all kinds, and we've got one of every
kind." Other alternatives would be, "We proudly tolerate every
degree of ignorance, arrogance, and stupidity on this board"; "Cello
Chat: Because it's There." ;)
