Berklee?
Hi, I'm not in college yet, but am
exploring my options and I came accross the Berklee School of Music.
Do any of you go there? What is it like? Thanks.

Rock
on!
If you're looking for classical
music, Berklee is not the place. Here in Boston, Berklee is known
for its rock and jazz music. It seems that every student there is a
guitarist though of course that's not true, but every time I pass by
there I see floods of students carrying guitars and saxophone cases.
If Boston grabs you, have a look at New England Conservatory,
Boston University (where I go), Longy School of Music, and Boston
Conservatory.

Re:

Alright. Thanks. I knew that
Berklee was well-known for Jazz, and I had a hunch that Rock is big
there too, since the guys in Dream Theatre (I think it's Dream
Theatre) also went there. I probably won't go out-of-state, though
it's always a possibility.
Thanks Aaron

ok, how
about Boston University?
Can you tell me about Boston
University? One specific paragraph in the "Music Education" section
of their website caught my attention, for reasons that are much too
long to tell right now (providence? perhaps?), since I have other
things to do right now. Thank you.

BU
Unfortunatly I can't tell you much
about the music program since I'm an archaeology major. But what I
do know is that it is highly competitive with some very fine
teachers. Sorry that I can't be of more help!
