guys...re Verdi Requiem
Hey guyz: my addled brain was
straining to remember if there was indeed a recording of the Verdi
Requiem with the CSO/Solti?? and Leontyne Price from I believe the
late 60's. Gary? BTW, where's my Bolognini, dude?

There is a recording of the Requiem
with us and Price, but it has to be from at least after 1974,
because I know I played on it.
I've contacted our archivist to
see if she can give me the date of the recording.
Maybe Gary
knows. (Although, he such a kid, he wasn't there at the
time!)

Actually, that recording dates from
1977 and was made in the Medinah Temple. Terrific performance with
the stellar cast of Price, Janet Baker, Veriano Luchetti and Van Dam
(Jose). It's available on an RCA mid-priced 2CD set.
