Neck and Shoulder Pain/Numbness
After about an hour of practice I begin to develope a pain and numbness in a very specific spot right where my neck, shoulder and back all meet, on the bow side of my body. :( Being a typically stubborn norwegian I plow through it for the next hour until it becomes only numb.
But I wonder if there is something I am doing wrong in my technique, or if I am damaging myself. Has anyone ever had this type of problem?

Re: Neck and Shoulder Pain/Numbness
It's always a good idea to get an accurate diagnosis. You could be doing more damage. You might also check with your teacher to see if you are sitting properly, holding the bow correctly, etc. - see if there can be some adjustments made.

Another thought is to stretch before you pratice and afterward.
