Schubert Cello
Quintet in C
I recently played this piece on a string players' course I went on.
I played the first cello part, and I have absolutely fallen in love
with this piece! The first violinist I played with is an amazing 16
year old girl who also played Vivaldi's "Summer" on the course
(yeah, I led the cello section in the orchestra, so I got to play
the solos) and I've fallen in love with that too. Maybe I can rope
her into starting a string quartet with me! It would make a change
from the awful quartet I'm stuck in at the moment!!

Good for
you!
The
Schubert Quintet is one of the greatest pieces in the repertoire!
(indeed, some think it is THE greatest)
I like playing
the 2nd cello part best- the 2nd movement is so great!

Schubert
Quintet
I find the 2nd part a lot more interesting.
