Loose sound post
Hi all,

I have a loose sound post rolling around in my cello.
Is there a way to fix that without taking it apart?
I came across this device that is supposed to do the job through f hole or something like that....
Has anyone heard about this?

Thanks!!

Re: Loose sound post
Don't do it yourself. A qualified luthier can fix it in no time without taking the top off, but you can do a lot of damage if you do it yourself. It shouldn't cost much.

Okay.
Thanks, Bobbie! Would you know about how much I could expect to spend?

No more than $10-$20 in this area.

I hope that you're not trying to play on that cello while the soundpost is rolling around in it! The top could easily crack if the strings are at full tension.
