I am looking for sheet music for the Kraft Cello Concerto in C.
Anyone know who publishes it?

Re: Looking for

Short answer: Artaria
Long answer:
Antonin Kraft.
"Koncert C Dur". Edited by Josef Chuchro. Piano reduction by Milan
Solc. Musica Viva Historica, 2. Prague: Statni Hudebni Vydavatelstvi
(Export: Artaria), 1961.
I don't know if it's still in
print. A lot of libraries might have it in the Musica Viva Historica
series, but, depending on their cataloging, it might not show up in
a search for Kraft.

Kraft score +
Bylsma a must...
This piece was discussed way back. I don't know if there are any
other recordings other than the old Bylsma with Tafelmusik. But his
version, with his concomitant cadenzas and interpolations, is a
must-hear. The second movement, for example, is taken up a fifth and
is more interesting in transposition, IMHO. All around a stellar
interpretation, excellent playing. Comes with the Haydn D, also
excellent, cadenzas especially. I was once interested in performing
this piece, and called the librarian at Tafelmusik, who generously
offered copies of the string parts...only thing she didn't have was
Bylsma's part, a lot of which he made up, spur of the moment...talk
about a classy musician!

Re: Kraft score

Another CD with the Kraft C Major is available from the Czech
Republic from Musica Bona. In addition to the Op. 4 concerto, there
is the second Kraft C major concerto known as "Syedels Concerto" on
the CD, as well as the Polonaise for Cello and Orchestra Op. 2 by
Mikulas Kraft. It is on the Czech Panton label Cat. no. 81 1024-2
031. The cellist is Jiri Hosek with the Prague Symphony Orchestra,
conducted by Josef Hrncir. I order the CD from them and it arrived
in five days from the Czech Republic.
