No wonder I
never get calls for gigs!
There's over 360 cellists in the local 47 (Los Angeles)
directory.
(There's only one named Betty. Hmmmmmmm......I
wonder. Nah, I'd rather not know.)

But aren't you one of the top 25? At least you need to think of
yourself that way! Attitude sells, remember. Even if you can't
memorize a Beethoven sonata.

I was PC also?
When I moved to Nashville, I assumed I'd get lots of work, as I
always had in the past. Turns out that things worked differently
here, however. I had to gather up my humility and ask a ton of
contractors to hire me, and if they didn't hire me, ask again in a
year or so. Now I work tons, but it was slow going. Attitude rules!
