Opus 9
Having a difficult time locating a selection titled "Romance* from
Opus 9 by D. Shostakovich for piano and cello. The Grove Dictionary
says this work is lost. I assume they mean the sheet music is not to
be found. But this selection is performed on a CD titled "Salut
D'Amour" which I have. The cello artist is Werner Thomas-Mifune and
it was cut in 1996. So how lost can it be. Help!! lew1870@aol.com

Werner
Thomas
Werner-Thomas-Mifune is Principal of the Bavarian Radio Symphony
here in Munich. You will find his phone-number in the phone-book
(www.teleauskunft.de). Just call him and ask, where you can find
it. Anna

Re: Opus
9
Werner Thomas-Mifune has a wonderful recording of Max Reger's cello
suites. Great sounding cello, too.

Re: Werner

Anna, I was unable to come up with the telephone number for Werner
Thomas. The German web site indicated that Munich was the wrong
address for him.
