Soft-sided
rolling cello bag/case
Hello! I saw recently a black, soft-sided rolling cello case. It is
*not* a hard case but is firmer than most soft cases.
When
the cello is in the case, the case is firm enough to stand up, but
without the cello in it, the case is soft enough to "collapse."
The person who owns the case doesn't know the brand; a
wholesaler sent it to him.
Does this case sound familiar to
anyone? I'd really like to find out where I can buy one. The case
has one handle on top over the bridge and side handles.
Thanks!!

My daughter's cello is in a bag which may well be the one you're
describing. There is a quirk or two about the bag and so I'm not
sure we're talking about the same one. esgunst@hotmail.com

Re: Soft-sided

I've got one that doesn't sound dis-similar to yours. It's a
chinese version of the cushy, but with wheels. Mine won't stand up,
however. It has very nice padded backpack straps, and a gazillion
pockets, and lots of handles. They basically put every feature
imaginable on a really light case, and only charge 170$ for it.
Which is kind of a lot, actually - they also make versions with
fewer features for less. The only thing I don't like is the bow
holder - it's not straight, so you need to add a bow holder.

You've got one
listed on the cellos2go site...
A 3/4 bag with wheels is listed on your site.

I
also found an expensive Weber bag (over $600) that goes around a
hardshell case (!), and it has wheels.
