Thanks for the link, drcello, you beat me to it! I'm going to
e-mail Dr. Carlsen to see if his foundation is structured so as to
permit donations. It'd be nice to be able to help him help out
gifted kids.

That's a pretty cool article. When i got out of school i wanted to
start a foundation like that. I think the link is bad in the
article, but i checked their website and the foundation does allow
for donations.

Oh my goodness! Miriam Shames was my sectional coach for two
concerts, I heard and very much enjoyed Dane Johansen at the Janos
Starker masterclass, and Joshua Boyce is the little brother of my
best friend. Thanks for the link, lol.

if only i were fortunate enough to catch Dr. Carlsen's attention
and get a cello that wont fall apart when i play it
