Gliga "Maestro"
cello
Hi fellow cellists,
I'm looking for any comments and
feedback on this cello. As I understand it, this is supposed to
be the top-of-the-line from the shop of this Romanian builder.
Also, has anyone had any experience with interior labels that
are "missing"'? I was going to buy one of these instruments
locally but there was no label and the guy said that is common. I
wrote to Gliga's shop and they said that's nearly
impossible.
Has anyone bought cellos from out-of-state
dealers and returned them within the time they give you to try it
out? Do they give you a hard time about it? Do the refund all
your money promptly?
Thanks, Jeff Rossman

Re: Gliga
"Maestro" cello
Jeff, I only have one experience with a Maestro, but many with
Gliga in general. They have never arrived sans label, although there
have certainly been many variations in the labels of the "same"
model. In the case of the Maestro, those are supposed to come with a
certificate of authenticity which has photos of the cello, front and
back, and the vital statistics of the instrument, signature of the
maker.
