An lp from the
sixties
I remember seeing an lp of Pablo Casals at the White House. Anyone
know where I can get a copy? It would be almost 40 years old, now.
Is it available on cd? Casals played Couperin.

Re: Casals at

I have this LP in my collection. It was recorded on November 3,
1961 in a monaural recording. It is a Columbia LP KL 5726. The
recording was made with Alexander Schneider and Mieczyslaw
Horszowski. They recorded the Mendelssohn Trio in D minor Op. 49;
Couperin Concert Pieces (Suite) for Cello and Piano; Schumann Adagio
and Allegro in A-Flat Major, Op. 70 and the Song of the Birds for
cello and piano. If you would like an MP3 of the Couperin I can send
it to you.
