Monika Leskovar began cello when she was seven years old. She has performed in Europe, Israel and Japan. She has been the winner of numerous competitions in Croatia and abroad (Overseas Concert for Children, Concorso Musicale Europeo Moncallieri, Croatian National Competition 1992 and 1994, Alpe Adria Gorizia 1993 and 1994, Liezen 1994, Tschaikovsky for young musicians Sendai 1995).

Ms. Leskovar won the Zagreb philharmonic orchestra award in 1993, the Croatian Jeunesse Musicales Award in 1994 and the Radio Stage award in 1994.

She performs often with the leading Croatian and European orchestras: the Zagreb Soloists, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Croatian Chamber Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Varazdin, the Dubrovnik Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra, German, Orchestra Hungarica, and the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra.

She records for Croatia Records and Victor JVC.
