Claire Cowan

I'm a cellist from New Zealand. I learned to play the cello at Howick Music school, where I am a student. I have studied the cello for about seven years.

I am in several orchestras at school. We travelled as a senior orchestra to sydney last year, to the Ninth International Music Festival, where we performed in the Opera House. It was the highlight of my cello playing years and it's something I like to remember.

I have sat two exams but I don't particularly like doing them, as I don't like scales much.
