For cellists experimenting with some of the "New Directions" ideas, there is a cheap Contour Seat Cushion available for $19.95 plus $5.95 shipping and handling.

The seat is a wedge of foam, tapering from 3"in the rear to about 3/4" in the front. It also comes with a separate lumbar support back cushion and a sleazy seat cover. The seat its self is a good way to try out the seated body alignment described by Sazer in his book. The cushion is very light and can easily be carried wherever you play.
