EUGENE KIM



Eugene Kim is the principal cellist of the Vermont Symphony. He has performed as a solo cellist under such conductors as Sergiu Commissiona, James DePriest and Pinchas Zukerman. His chamber music collaborations include Gervase de Peyer, Arturo Delmoni, Kathleen Lenski, and Andres Diaz. He is currently on the faculty of UMASS/Boston and the Concord, N.H. Community Music School.

Eugene received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude with highest honors from Harvard University, where he wrote an award winning thesis,"Tibor Serly and the Bartok Viola Concerto: Problems of Reconstruction." He also received his master's degree with honors from the New England Conservatory.
