I was in second grade. Our vocal music teacher used to let kids who were piano students play their pieces for the class. I was insanely jealous, really really really wanted to learn to play the piano, so I told the teacher I was taking lessons. Yup, during our next vocal music session, she asked me if I wanted to play for the class. "Sure," I said brightly, trotted right up to the piano, and proceeded to just wail on it for a couple of minutes. It was great!! After my little performance I could hear classmates whisper among themselves that I couldn't play the piano. Guess what!! They were right!!
