What an oportunity! I would have loved a fine arts high school when I was your age - my life would have been very differnt, I think. I believe that you have to pass the same academic requirements to graduate as those in the liberal arts hs; hence the extra hours of school. You will be around other kids with similar interests which is such a great thing. I do think you should do this for yourself - not so that you won't disappoint your teacher.
