Hey, you sound just like me...
September was when I started practicing like crazy. I was working on a Vivaldi Sonata back then, and couldn't even get that in tune. At the end of September, my orchestra teacher told me that he wants me to perform the Haydn C with the orchestra in February. I have no idea why he wanted me to do it. Anyways, back then I didn't even know what thumb position was and everyone, including my cello teacher thought I was never going to manage it. But I did, and performed the Haydn C with the orchestra in February.

Now I'm somewhat tired after all that "intense" practice. What's bugging me these days is my bowing technique. My bow moves around a lot, and it looks sooo dirty. If Feuermann were to see this, he would yell at me "You dirty pig, throw your cello away and don't even think of even touching it again" (or would he NOT say something like that?)

So do you live in Montreal? I'm in Vancouver.
Are there any good teachers there?

I've got to go, have a law test in 20 minutes.
