You might also be interested in a biography that appeared in 1988, shortly after Du Pre's death. Carol Easton, the author, was encouraged by Du Pre to write the book. All of the reviews I've read of this biography were favorable. It's simply titled "Jacqueline Du Pre" and was originally published in England by Hodder & Stoughton. It was published in the U.S. by Summit Books. If you can't find it in a library, I'm sure you could get a copy from one of the out-of-print book services on the internet.
