The male cellist who replaced Charlotte "?" is Ernie Erhardt, who studied with the same teacher I did in Los Angeles, and was also my former stand partner in the LA Phil in the late 60's. Lawrence Welk, for all the negatives to it, was a very lucrative job. Incidently, Ernie didn't smile either, Gary!
