I understand your confusion - I didn't really know how to express myself about this. I meant closing the elbow up a little, so as to move the wrist up a little bit in relation to the cello. This may not be the best way to describe it, or even accomplish what I'm talking about - it's one of those things where if I could show you, you'd go "oh, that's what you mean", but trying to describe it on the internet will never really work.
