I have a concert scheduled for tomorrow night. I'm playing the first movement of the Brahms e minor sonata.
The problem is I have the flu. Does anyone know of any quick fixes?
My main concern is lack of strength. This sonata already poses problems of balance between the piano and cello as the cello is written mostly in it's lower register and the piano is loud!
I had a rehearsal today and my arms were aching. My playing was correct but quite weak.
Do you think adrenalin is all I need?
Any suggestions appreciated,
Alex.
