: The server for this chat board is located in Florida. I don't know why the time is registering incorrectly, but I have come to expect that sort of thing from computers. I run Windows 95 (updated variety), and I never know what time my system will come up with. Maybe we should all switch to Linux or Mac?

The time on your computer is stored on a chip in your computer, which is updated by the operating system, whenever it sees fit. Windows95/98 won't change your time settings arbitraraly(sp?). If you have an old motherboard, or one with a defective clock chip, or a low battery, your time may come up incorrectly from time to time. This has nothing to do with windows95/98, or any other operating system.
